October Outings!

There's a chill in the air here in Los Angeles (well that is when it's not 98 degrees) and the nuggets have been busy participating in the holidays!

First up is Halloween! Which they very much enjoyed more this year than when they were very little babies last year.

This year (all in theme) Miles dressed as Peter Pan, Chloe as Tinkerbell and our aupair Carol, as Wendy! What a great time we all had. The festivities kicked off a couple of days prior with a Halloween party at a local kids gym the nuggets attend, filled with fun puppet shows, treat bags, bubble showers and of course a spooky maze for the tots to enjoy.

We took them on their first trick or treating around the block and their favorite "treat" we are happy to report was an apple!

But before that a little bit of shopping was done at the local halloween costume store for costumes! There were some scary looking things in those stores! But Miles and Chloe feared not. After all once you've seen one Zombie baby you've seen them all right?!

Summer 2010

The nuggets were super super busy this summer and enjoyed many adventures!

This and That!

Has it really been 16 months already! Lots has been happening with the Leon twins lately. A little bit of "this" and a little bit of "that" literally! Those are the words we hear from them on a daily basis. "This?" one of them will say..."That?" another will say and on and on it goes. And the pointing!...the pointing is simply endless. Everything is new and exciting to them and they are having a great time taking it all in!

Other great phrases the nuggets are sharing with us on a regular basis:

"Uh oh", "Oh Boy", "Okay let's go", "Outside", "Thank You" We can't wait for more in depth sentences...or can we?

We get a lot of asks if they are walking yet. Walking isn't probably the best word to use...more like running! Here are a few of the latest and greatest pics of the nuggets this summer. More to come soon.

...And Then They Were One!

Miles and Chloe celebrated their 1st birthday on Saturday March 27th (1 year exactly!) with close friends and family. It was a wonderful bash with double the cake and double the fun! The nuggets didn't quite know what was going on but they did know one thing and that was, as it turns out, they love sugar! Yum! Cupcakes!

Unfortunately Chloe was not particularly fond of her party hat...but Miles liked his...and apparently Chloe's hat fit Uncle Jeff (who also happens to share the same birthday as the nuggets) perfectly.

And of course Elmo and Big Bird had to have a little part in the celebration.

Thank you to all who sent very generous gifts to the nuggets in celebration for their big milestone. The nuggets enjoyed FOUR (!) eventful evenings of ripping into glorious mountains of tissue paper, wrapping paper and wrapping each other in tons of ribbon...oh yeah...and the gifts were great too! ;) Thank you again!

Nuggets First Halloween!

Back tracking to the Nuggets first Halloween! There was plenty excitement as the nuggets participated in the Descanso Gardens Halloween festival. More Halloween festivities continued with a Halloween parade at the nuggets school. Miles dressed as a bumblebee, while Chloe was a Lady Bug. Their first trick or treat experience left them with some toddler snacks and bubbles to play with. The nuggets think they could easily get used to this!

Daddy: Because Mommy says so, just look at the camera so she'll let us go. Trust me.

10 Months! Where has the time gone!???

10 months! Where has the time gone?! Well it's been a busy busy past few months for the Leon Family but hopefully all is settling down. We started the holidays with a big bang and celebrated the nuggets first Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas/Hanukkah and New Year's with a ton of visits from wonderful friends and family...and at the same time survived a hectic move AND renovations to a new home! A lot has been changing in the nuggets' world lately and as you can see they are having more fun than ever! Now that mom has finally found the camera cord while unpacking...maybe we can get this blog updated with some much needed pictures! Stay tuned! But for now enjoy this current picture of the nuggets in action at their beloved daycare having loads of fun!
